• Passport, drivers license, and xerox copies of both

• Shorts (2); long light-weight work pants (2); long travel pants (1)
• Shirts, light weight, 1 per day
• A lightweight long sleeve shirt (1) for sun protection
  
• A warmer shirt, e.g. a sweat shirt (1), and a windbreaker
• Swim suit
• Beach towel
  
• Hat and sunglasses
• Sandals (1 pr); shoes (1 pr); boots (1 pr)

Gear

• Toiletries including sun screen, chap stick, medicines, etc.
• Day pack for organizing stuff and, possibly, a fanny pack for field work
• Water bottles
• Small Spanish-English dictionary
• Field notebook (small)
• Binoculars (small)
• A bird book. You can obtain a Baja check list here
• Pocket knife (small)
• Flashlight
• Digital camera, USB cable, and charger (if available)
• GPS unit (if available)
• Laptop computer (optional)
